Just a bit of trivia but bet none of you can top this. I saw the original when it was in previews (and, admittedly, didn't care for it). However, I've kept the autographed Playbill which currently occupies pride of place in my dining room. Not because of Smile, but because Helen Hayes was in the audience and graciously signed the program for me. O believe she was 88 at the time and she emitted more energy than anyone on stage, IMO.
