What I wrote was a rejection of Maher's and Harris' insistence that fundamentalism is the only true expression of any religion. My point was that despite my folks' strong faith, they understood the difference between reading poetry and reading a history book.

The Christians who believe in the literal word of the Bible are not leading mainstream churches and they are definitely NOT leading governments.

I agree the world faces special problems from Islamists. I've always agreed with that.
