Intermission in Newark, For Good and Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend so far in terms of show tunes. The Orchestra did Let Me Be Your Star by themselves, which while beautiful seemed a bit of a waste. Expecting some more Smash later.
She did Second Hand White Baby Grand (which was STUNNING with full orchestra) and Moving The Line from Smash. No other Wicked songs, and no 9 to 5. Several other show tunes (Someone To Watch Over Me and some others I didn't know/recognize), and her encore of Count Your Blessings was beautiful.
It's 2 acts, but they where only about 50 min each, and the orchestra does a fair few songs by themselves (I think three in the act 1 and two in act 2), just so you know what to expect. I came in expecting a 90-min no intermission show, so it felt long to me (which is great!)
Definitely money and a trip to NJ well spent, even in the frigid cold out there!
