How's the far right rear mezzanine in the Bernard B Jacobs theatre? I'm trying to get some decently priced tickets to see it with someone, but I want to make sure that I'll actually be able to see the stage.
I sat in the first row of the rear mezzanine all the way to the right this afternoon (E 24) and the view was excellent. There were a few more seats further to the right in the rows behind me, I think; not sure how those would be.
Has anyone seen The Color Purple (or another show) from the first row, Orchestra BB? I finally saw the show yesterday for the first time and absolutely loved it. I'd like to see it again from a better seat, and I've noticed that Row BB always seems to have availability; are the seats too close / stage too high? Thanks in advance!

It's not the sharpest photo, but I hope it gives you an idea of what the first few rows look like. This was taken from row F seat 7
I saw Fiddler from the first row and none of the actors had feet from my vantage point. Same at Hamilton from the 3rd row.
First time I saw The Color Purple was from row O, tickets a friend picked up for us and herself. I loved it so much , I wanted to go back and see it closer. row F seat 7 was soooo much better!
I've seen it twice sitting in the front row center and both times I felt incredibly immersed in the experience. There are a couple of moments you cannot see simply based on the blocking of the show, but getting to see the scenes unfold so close to my seat ranks up there with some of the most intense, memorable, and incomparable experiences I have had in the theatre.

I have sat in the front row center twice for Hamilton and have had no issues seeing any of the actors feet. Thats odd different issue you had from the 3rd row.
I dont know how to post a picture on here but I took a picture of the Hamilton stage yesterday prior to the show and you can see the floor of the stage.

I'm 5'2" short torso. I have to press my back into the seatback just to get a little better posture and get an extra view. I've seen it from row B and row D where I couldn't see the actual floor, so I don't get to see any of the lighting or rotating floor like I did from the rear mezzanine. I recently saw it from row F and since the seats slant in that row, it was perfect. I could see a slight angle of the floor. But looking forward to row A in the front mezz in 2017 to appreciate it overall.
During the three times I have seen Hamilton I have seen probably 10-12 people with the booster cushions. Have you ever looked into trying one? Might just give you the boost you need. :)

Trust me, I thought of it! Didn't want anyone complaining behind me that I am not a child to need a booster.
I would say at least half the people using them were adults. Or small adults. A friend of mine who is 5'1" always ends up with a "BFH" (Big "F" head) in front of her. She decided at what she paid she was going to try a booster. She loved it and she said no one behind her said anything. Like she said most of the "kids" there were taller than she. :)

LOL! Yes, I feel her BFH pain. After seeing a few shows in orchestra center, I've found that the side orchestra works better for me. I was worried of "BFH" at Fun Home but the patron didn't completely block my view when he sat back. Ha Ha Ha!
