has there been a good one? did anyone see Steinmans DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES? it was so squashed full of good 80's rock that it lost it's direction, I havn't seen Wildhorn's (I don't want to) and I have little hot (although I love him) that elten john can pull it off

Bat Boy is actually based on a column in the Weekly World News. It has a weird plot, but the music is outstanding, not to mention, its hilarious. They're making a movie version too.
It's about this bat child found in a cave. He is taken to the local veternarian's, where they try to make him human-like, and they teach him to speak, etc. He falls in love with the daughter, and they run off, after the people revolt against him. He can't stop his need for blood, and his girlfriend understands that, so after they have sex, she makes him eat her. He ends up getting killed, and we learn that he is actually the son of the veternarian and his girlfriend is his sister. His mother was raped by bats.
Listen to the music!!!! The plot may sound weird but its so good!

you never heard of "A CLOCKWORK ORANGE", british cult film banned for 30 years,
"The Devils" was made by the same man and banned for 25 years, strange, they were both hugely contravercial films, yet thay had the biggest budgets of their time
Hedwig and the angry inch was a silly off-broadway about a man with a botched sex reasignment and his sad life

Tanz der Vampire in Germany is the mother of all vampire musicals

They all suck.
No pun intended.
Ok, pun intended.
It's still true.
Bat Boy's distinct lack of vampires disqualifies it from being a vampire musical.

I liked Nosferatu the best. Especially the opening song in each act, Talk of Vampires

NO, me and RockFenris wrote our own, much better than the other Nosferatu
Call me crazy but I liked Dracula. This is a show I would love for a copy to be made available ala Victor Victoria
I thought that Clockwork Orange was a film? Am I in the dark here, or something?

Dance Of The Vampires with Michael Crawford
Where was A Clockwork Orange banned for 30 years? Not in the US. It's original release was rated X in 1971 in the US and the UK, but was re-rated R (and edited) in the US in 1972 and re-rated 18 in the UK in 1999.
