Hey guys,

I know this isnt technically a Broadway show, but I have been trying to find the Sheet music to All Grown UP and I cant find it anywhere. DOes anyone have any idea where I can find it.

I didn't want to start a new BARE thread, but I have a question:

Was BARE's original run at The American Theatre for Actors considered "Off-Broadway"? I know its transfer (that never happened) to Dodger Stages was going to be considered an Off-Broadway run.

The reason I ask this is, I want to know if BARE was eligible for the Off-Broadway Awards (Lucille Lortel Awards, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, Obie Awards) in the season that it played at The American Theatre for Actors. I know that The American Theatre for Actors is an Off-Broadway venue, so does it therefore make any show that plays there considered Off-Broadway and eligible for Off-Broadway awards? I mean, the 1-weekend production of SIDE SHOW that played there last week was advertised as a "new Off-Broadway production". So will it be eligible for the Off-Broadway awards next year?

And, if BARE was eligible, did it receive any nominations or win any awards?

The American Theatre of Actors is Off-Off-Broadway; however, the production value of "Bare" was so high for that of an OOB show that many talk about it as being Off-Boadway. (Also, the fact that the show was supposed to transfer to Off-Broadway makes the label slightly more justifiable.)

But no... "Bare" was considered Off-Off.

But wasn't SLUT an "Off-Broadway" show (it played The American Theatre for Actors last year)?

And how can a theater on 54th between 8th and 9th be considered Off-Off-Broadway? I mean, location-wise, it's barely Off-Broadway.

Are you sure it's not an Off-Broadway theater? SIDE SHOW was definitely advertised as an "Off-Broadway production".

the labels broadway, off broadway and off off broadway have less to do with location and more to do with seating capacity and revenue.

I hope this isn't off topic, but I saw this show when it was running in New York, and I just didn't get it. I know people LOVED it, but I thought it was just a bunch of teenage angst (not to offend anybody who enjoyed it). It just seemed like a musicalized version of Beverly Hills 90210. A few interesting tunes I guess, and a pretty enough cast. But I'd love to hear from some who enjoyed it what it was that drew them in?

I believe Damon and Jon asked that Bare not be nominated for any awards when they ran at ATA because they wanted to tweak some aspects of the show and make it tighter, thus increasing its chances at winning the awards. I know it was nominated for a Glaad award.

Actually, ATA has two spaces...one Off Off, and one Off Broadway. BARE (like SIDE SHOW) played in the larger space that is Off Broadway. It seats more than 99 (I think 175?). Anything from 100-499 is Off Broadway.

BARE was Off-Broadway. Some cast members list it as such on their resumes, as well, as Off Broadway.

Actually. You are both kind of right.

Bare and SLUT were on Off-Broadway contracts. Making them Off-Broadway.

Side Show wasn't a union production. meaning that it's not really off-broadway. Plus, the production values weren't that high. I know SLUT had a budget of just under half a million... Little more than the 20-30k that side show must have spent.
