I can't get my avatar to upload, the picture just shows up as a big white square. Can anyone help?

it has to be a .jpg filename with no spaces

I don't know about your computer but how about copying and pasting the bitmap file picture onto a blank .jpg program like Microsoft Photo Editor

Try this:

Upload picture onto internet.
Then re-download it, and change the file type when you "Save As".

If you have AOL, open it through the Picture Finder and save it as a different document and at the same time change it from BMP.

open it in paint then hit file, save as, then icon.jpg should work like a charm...

yeah, Elphie said that you just have to go to "save as" and type in the name followed by .jpg
