get smart, buffy the vampire slayer, angel, and dark shadows themes are all good. everytime i hear dark shadows i get goosebumps. it's good.

Some friends of mine had the Family Ties theme song as their first dance at their wedding. Seriously.

For instrumental themes, my current favorite is EVERWOOD.

For themes with lyrics, I like the version of "Where You Lead" sung by Carole King and her daugher, on GILMORE GIRLS.

Going back to the oldies, I loved ST. ELSEWHERE and MAD ABOUT YOU.

american dreams theme is a current favourite, in addition to the one's already mentioned (fraggle rock is a ringtone on my phone, too!). i think it perfectly sets up the show, and makes me happy/sad the same way the show does. i like the they might be giants chords that make up the daily show's intro and bumper music, as well.
