HAPPY FRIDAY! IT'S MOJITO TIME!

The lov-ah and I will be begining our Friday ritual at the fabulous bar the ABBEY toasting our week with Mojitos. Harry Potter tomorrow, dancing in the eveing, and our Tony dinner party on Sunday.


So what is everyone doing this weekend?

When you make a mojito, does it make a difference if you use peppermint or spearmint? The recipes I've seen simply say mint.

But what kind of mint leaves, spearmint or peppermint? Or does it even make a difference other than in the flavor?

I guess you could use either. We use spearmint. Let me know how they turn out.

AMEN and pass one my way!! Tonight it is Harry Potter. Tomorrow some gardening, and then some shoe shopping for a wedding next week. Can mojitos be taken via IV?

Why the IV? You need to take a moment for yourself girl. Take a nice long bath. ( CALGON TAKE ME AWAY) and have the hubby make you a mojito while you are in there.

Ohhh, now there is an idea! And I think that Dave would go for it as well! It is at the wedding I am going to need the drinks. My future son-in-law is fine ... Its his family that is .. well... a bit off. Nice people just a bit of a time warp with them. They seem to have more in common with Dave's folks than us. So as long as my hands are filled I'll be fine. How is your day DAME?

Thanks I am going to need them. My new mantra is "It is fine, it is fine, everything is all fine.." That and mojitos should get me through the afternoon. To top it off there is other family drama that is going on that is just too long and complicated. Lets just say "bad soap opera sit com".

Happy Friday 'Yall! I will take in a baseball game tonight, attend The Disco Party Concert at Chastain Park tomorrow night (with K.C. & The Sunshine Band, The Trammps, Evelyn "Champagne" King, and Martha Wash) and relax with a Mojito or two while watching the Tonys on Sunday night.

I'll let you know how the disco concert is. Gotta' put on my b-b-b-boogie shoes and get ready to shake my booty!

I am flabbergasted. We are attending the Disco concert in LA in a few weeks and it is the exact same line up. You and me definitely like being entertained the same way. So ... are you going to go to Liza's?

It's wild that we like all the same musical artists and seem to be going to all the same events - 3000 miles apart! I'll let you know how the Disco Party is. My Peachtree Posse is ready for it tomorrow night! I don't have tickets to the Liza show and would have to move some things around on my calendar to make it...but you never know!
