It is raining like a freakin' MoFo here. On the news, it said that a tornado touched down two counties away from me, and I am still on the computer. I will always choose bww.com over life and safety any day.

Posted: 9/7/04 at 6:16pmOooh have fun with that...it wasn't actually as bad as I expected. Not nearly. It was more boring than anything else for me. But the damage on the coast is horrendous. The beaches are pretty much gone.

I actually drove to my class (after calling the school to ask if classes were cancelled, and they said no) and I could barely see where I was going because it was raining so hard. When I got there, I found out my lab was cancelled. Grrrrrrrr

i really dont think the tornados will be that horrid though-- but maybe im wrong

YOU SCARDY CAT! I live in tornado alley... You need to start to worry when it starts to hail then stop aburptly and there is no sound... then get scared and run like the devil!
But no worries! Everything will be fine!
Just eat some Ice Cream!

You're lucky! The heat in the San Fernando Valley hasn't broken in months...this past weekend it topped off at 106.
I don't think we've had rain since February!

Posted: 9/7/04 at 7:51pmYeah, I haven't heard any reports of bad tornado damage here. They scared everyone yesterday by calling it the "Post Frances Tornado Outbreak" and then it turned out that only like three actually touched down. I love reporters...

Posted: 9/7/04 at 9:25pmI hope we get some rain here. I bought these really expensive rain boots to go to Scotland in August. Then we get there and they have the best freaking weather they've had all year! No rain at all until I'm on the way to the airport! Then in crazy NYC, where it has been raining all spring and summer, we get nothing! I want to wear my boots! My new raincoat too! But atleast my boots.
