Have you tried looking for theatre auditions in your state? I would defintely try to look for auditions. If you can't find any, then I would try and search for another workshop in your state. If that fails, then I would definitely consider trying to find a school. I know how you feel because I have a learning disability, but I also have a love of the stage just like you. Still, I am taking my ACT very soon. The thing about the SAT/ACT is that it can still be taken by people with learning disabilities. You can request for accommodations and they'll be provided. For example, you could be granted extended time or the one giving the test can read the questions out loud or, if you have ADHD, you can request to take the test in a room with fewer people.
However, if you're worried about being too old to take the SAT. Don't be. The SAT/ACT recognises no age limit. At least it doesn't to my knowledge. Also, you might be surprised but many schools have a faculty that is willing to help the student if they struggle with learning disabilities.
I hope I was some help.
