Tucker is 7 weeks old.
He is a golden retriever puppy.
He likes to tuck his head under things, in things, and between things...
hence the name.
He frightens me.
The only other pets my family has had were goldfish.
And we had a hamster once, but it ran away...
We have no idea what to do with this dog.

I love Golden Retrievers.
I have a feeling Tucker is going to get very big. My Golden was about that size as a puppy and now she comes up to my waist.

At one time I had three Goldens.
They are the best.

The puppy has not yet learned to Shakalaka.
But I did expose him to the addictive "Toxic" by Miss Britney.
He still needs a few more dancing lessons he's ready for the clubs.

Posted: 12/25/04 at 10:44pmToo cute! Just make sure to take him out alot in public so he gets used to all types of people! (also helps to learn how to walk properly on a leash). Socialize! Socialize! Socialize! I am sure that won't be a problem though, he looks like an absolute sweet heart.

Golden Retrievers make the BEST pets! Congrats on the new family member.

I know how you feel, I USED to be terrified of dogs, even yorkies. What a cute dog though...I'll be your dog sitter if you need one in Chicago.

Posted: 12/26/04 at 1:52amThe picture is small, but he is so cute! Golden retrievers are really friendly and playful dogs. A family friend of mine just got two yellow labs - one's name is Tucker! That is a great name, too.

Flowery, I have a wonderful little energetic pug now but the best pet I ever had was in junior high...a wonderful golden retriever I was certain not only thought he was human but really and truly acted it. Golden's are awesome. You might be scared and confused but, believe me, golden's are quite possibly the kindest dogs there are. You will love little Tucker before long and I know you'll wonder why you went your whole life without a dog like that.

Your puppy is adorable. I love Labs, Goldens and German Shepherds, but, with a small backyard, had to opt for a smaller pup. We just completed a puppy socialization class. It was great for both of us. Look into a class with a reputable dog trainer in your area. Enjoy your puppy. You've made a wonderful choice!
PS If I knew how to post a photo, I'd show off a larger image of my Chloe, but alas, the small icon will have to do! Besides, this thread is dedicated to Tucker. Love his name, too.
