Atlantic Acting School question

Greetings,

Could anybody share their insight about the reputation of Atlantic Acting School's Conservatory program? How is the school viewed in the professional world?
I read their book "A Practical Handbook For The Actor" a couple of times and liked their approach.

But if you've done your research, which you plainly have, and you like their approach, then maybe that's what matters? Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I took an acting course from one of their directors through NYU's Tisch Open Arts program. I loved it... I don't much about the school itself, though.

Well the Atlantic School is one of the studio programs at NYU Tisch Undergrad Drama. So I'm sure in the Atlantic's conservatory program you will have most of the same professors that the NYU kids in that studio are getting but for a heck of a lot cheaper. Other than that I don't really know a whole lot about it but I would suggest reading the books the founders of the company published because if you don't like or aren't able to grab onto their technique in acting you won't like the school!

Atlantic is a fabulous, fabulous school. The technique is simple, it makes sense, and it works. It is highly regarded in the professional world - I mean come on, a school founded by Mamet and Macy?! Plus the theater company itself is fantastic. Also, the teachers are incredible - they create a very supportive, safe environment to take risks and explore and play. If you liked the book and it made sense to you, I would absolutely recommend the program.

I know that they also have a program that is associated with Tisch/NYU as well. I think this is an undergraduate BFA liberal arts program, if I remember correctly.
