Yeah, so many of my friends who haven't seen the show were like uhmm why is he yelling? (I still think you would have been amazed if you just looked at what his feet were doing, but that's just me.) Honestly, you have to see the show. "Angry Dance" is, in my opinion, the best number. I really felt Billy's frustration and when his dad says "Your mum's dead" it just broke my heart. They definitely should've picked a better Tony number. But at least people are surprised when they see the show. I LOVED the n2n performance at the Tony's, but when I saw the show I was very underwhelmed.
...an unnamed source says there’s a plan in place to move the Chicago production to Toronto in early 2011. Mirvish Productions, which at one time was in the running to produce the North American premiere of Billy Elliot, would present the show for an undetermined amount of time in Toronto; the show would then embark on a North American tour.
This plan depends on a number of factors, including how well the show sells in Chicago. But we should expect a confirmation of the exact details when Mirvish unveils its 2010-2011 season later this winter. The Globe and Mail: Billy the kid steps closer to Toronto
