i thought i would share that i emailed a representative of the lincoln center theatre asking about a recording of the show and the response was this:
Thank you for your inquiry. As of yet, no plans for a cast recording have been confirmed. Thank you for your interest in Lincoln Center Theater and we are glad you enjoyed the show.
makes me sad. hopefully plans will soon be made. this score needs to be saved.

Hmm, that would be dreadfully sad. Maybe we should write an email to the flaherty/ahrens page.
I think they will record it. LCT always records their shows. If the show opens tonight to the reviews that I think it will, it will probably get a recording. If not, we can start a petition. Hell, ove 100 people signed the GV petition! We can get 500 in a walk.
They will record it. It was said that if the critics right good things about this show, it will be VERY hard to get tickets. How can you not record an A&F musical? Especially one that stars York and LaChanze???
It already is very hard to get tickets. From what I've heard, it sells out almost nightly.

It wasn't sold-out when I saw it, but that was a matinee.

it was sold out when i saw it, but a couple people first-acted it. i was upset by that, i couldn't believe people could walk out of a show like this.
here's a great article about the score and other stuff from playbill... enjoy.

Great article. Thanks for the link. I just keep getting more and more excited about this show. Can't wait till April 2! I'm hoping for great reviews tonight, especially for LaChanze and Rachel York. From what everyone has been saying, it sounds like they both deserve Drama Desk noms, as does the show.

Yes, I think there is reason for optimism here. It HAS to be recorded.
