The merchandising barrage has begun.
Holy crap!
Check these out... and check out the hefty price tags!
And while you're in the neighborhood.. click on their "Wizard of Oz" link... the wicked witch doll looks WAY more like Elphaba than Maggie Hamilton's incarnation. And they have the gall to say, "like you've never seen her before." What? You mean looking like Idina Menzel??

b12b, you're so right. And it's bizarre, 'cause every other doll looks just like the movie. But the "Wicked Witch" is definitely Elphaba. Where's the hooked nose? The wart? The gnarled hands???? Meh.

Posted: 10/25/06 at 11:46amMost of the "collectors dolls" for THE WIZARD OF OZ over the years - the Madame Alexander, collection etc. have made the witch a more "aesthetically pretty" figurine - to be fair, that's gone on way before WICKED...

Bitches need to learn about goodwill. Which is where I'll (hopefully) be buying my Dreamgirls dolls in 20 years.
