Fan Mail Question

This was in another post, but I dont think anyone was seeing it.

I have never sent a letter, and I think I may send one soon. But do you just say, "Oh and can I have a signed headshot?" Doesn't that seem rude? Or do they just know to do that?

I know its a silly question, but I was really wondering. Thanks.

jamesmacon, well that does sound a little bit rude because the word please isn't mentioned. what i did with kristy cates by letter, i said i enclosed the photo and said i would be most grateful if she could please sign it and i asked her could i please have a nice promo shot if herself

so really it's ok but remember to say please and ask your questions in a positive approach and enclose a photo so the people you want autographs from won't have to go through the trouble to find 1 to supply.

i also tell people that i think theyre great and name a few roles of what i think they were great at

I normally I write my letter and then at the end add a P.S. asking for a signed picture (or whatever) if they have time and would like to.
