I went to see Hairspray last night for the 5th time, the reason, to see the cast changes and to have a great time at a bloody great show.
Brian Conley, not as good as Michael, he made the part his, but Brian still very good, if Michael was the Princess, Brian would make a great Dame, delivered 'timeless to me' one of the best moments in musical history effortlessly, great presence and fun.
Chloe Hart, good not a patch on Leanne Jones as Tracey.
Liam Tamne, not the same stage presence as Ben James-Ellis.
Nigel Planer, not a recent cast change but excellent as good a Ian Talbot a big regret I never saw the show with Mel Smith.
