I'm really disappointed in Sam Barks being cast as Eponine; I think she got where she did on Maria because of her looks rather than talent. And thought she was awful as Sally Bowles in Cabaret.
I would liked to have seen them cast a more high profile performer, that was rather unexpected. Still, it seems like it'll be a great show.

They made a serious mistake with this concert's casting.
Colm Wilkinson is not playing the role of Jean Valjean (he is the best Valjean there ever has been), and Michael Maguire, the original Enjolras on Broadway, is not playing Enjolras. He simply embodies the character (check out his performance as a member of the TAC), and he sounds more like an Enjolras than Ramin does.

Michael Maguire is 55 and Colm Wilkinson is pushing 70.

Seriously?

I too was disappointed at Sam Barks as Eponine but after seeing her, she is just right for the part and her voice is really strong, a great Eponine, so don't judge her before you see her in the role.

Michael Maguire and Colm? We already have Salonga and Galloway so why not just add Ruthie, Judy Kuhn and Alan Armstrong again. I love Lea Salonga (probably my fave performer of all time) and i'm glad she's playing Fantine. However, i'd have liked to have seen an entirely new cast put together for this. I think Ramin will do a fine job... Nick Jonas *shudders* on the other hand may be the card that causes the tower to tumble as they say.

Im not sure if this has been mentioned... but the whole concert is proudced by "Cameron Mackintosh in association with Universal Pictures" Im guessing that means it will be filmed.... which we all knew anyway!

Which is good, means I can buy the DVD instead of going live!
