Just got back from NYC. We got caught in that awful snow storm. It was terrible. It took us 4 hours to get from New Jersey to NYC.
Wanted tickets for Vanessa Redgrave's show, but they wouldn't accept student rush or Broadway Box, So we went to see Grey Gardens....I used my student ID and got seats four rows from the stage for 26 dollars. Great show all around. Christine was brilliant. Second act was great.
The next day we saw Color Purple for 26.50 second row from the stage. Another Great Show. I loved Kenita R. Miller.
We had so much fun and I will say it again, New Yorkers are the best people in the world. I met so many lovely people again.
I am getting better at the subways too!
Great time in a Great City!

When I did student rush at Grey Gardens we were in the last row of the theatre. And I thought the show was lame too.

Posted: 3/23/07 at 2:15amI got rush seats in row H when I saw Grey Gardens. The show was good, but I found myself bored through a lot of parts in the show.

Posted: 3/23/07 at 8:57amI find it interesting how people think it is just as important to tell us what you paid and where you sat as what you thought of the show. Who cares what you paid? I would rather hear more of your thoughts on the performances.

My boyfriend and I go to NYC every March. He likes the Allman Brothers and I love Broadway. I think it is important to tell people that you can get nice seats at a very good price. I have seen people like Hugh Jackman, Jessica Lange, Bernadette Peters, Tyne Daly and so on.
Four years my dream came true when we first visited NYC. I started reading different posts from Broadwayworld. People from this site helped us decide to visit NYC. So I hope I can help someone too, especially students.......That's All!!!
