Just came back pub/club, with a load of tarts and overpriced beer, complete contrast to what I did last night.

Totally off-topic but also totally fierce!!
While browsing YouTube for treasures to favourite and watch a million times over I came across these gems ...
1. the ultimate Effie showdown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtDFHXjJ7SU
2. La Ripley (who was robbed of a Little Shop revival btw): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwU8FjoDb9M
3. La Ripley avec La Skinner totally belting their faces off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fLZPt0tniE (skip to 2:23 for mindblowing sass. Totally love Alice's faux-vocal-damage growl at 2:33 btw)

I loved them earlier this evening. One thing though, what was so funny about the Chariots of Fire reference?

Thanks so much for posting these. I've never heard Alice's version of Somewhere That's Green - and it's fabulous!
Here's a link to Alice Ripley performing Meadowlark in The Baker's Wife at Papermill - one of the greatest performances I've been privileged enough to witness:
