check out the one acts of Christopher Durang. "Actor's Nightmare," "DMV Tyrant," or "Funeral Parlor." funny and really really ridiculous.

Check out the Jean Claude van Itallie play "Interview", part of the trilogy "America Hurrah". It's a great absurdist piece, and has eight wonderful monologues in it.
