Okay - had to say that I just caught Timothy Britten Parker (Toby Parker) in his new show at Opia (on East 57th) and he was amazing!! He was in great voice and choose some really fantastic songs. Totally worth it.
They mentioned that he had just done a standby role in Wicked in September...does anyone know anything about that?

Okay - this morning I came across his website:

and there it says that he recently appeared in WICKED, but it doesn't say as who...does anyone know? did anyone see it?

I figured it out - he was doing a standby for Doctor Dillamond in WICKED, and performed it once. I wish I'd seen it. Did anyone else ever see him in RENT?
Also saw a little piece on him in Liz Smith's column yesterday in the Post:
ON THE RISE: Toby Parker, singer and actor. He is talented. He has won awards (an Obie and two Dramalogue awards.) He is a founding member of the Naked Angels Theater Company. He is appearing this month and into November warbling at "Live at Opia." (130 E. 57th St.) You might be interested to know that Toby is the brother of iconic TV star Sarah Jessica Parker.
