I've always enjoyed the PBS film version with Rita Moreno as the waitress, Patti Labelle as the cleaning woman, James Taylor as the truck driver, plus Barbara Hershey, Lynn Thigpen, Barry Bostwick, Scatman Crothers, Charles Durning et al. It might make for a fun Encores!-type concert someday and/or perhaps could have a run at a modest-sized off-Broadway house or cabaret space. Unfortunately, it's too small and intimate a show to work on Broadway (the original Broadway production flopped badly, lasting barely three weeks before shutting down).

working is my bf's favorite musical...i haven't seen it all or heard it all though.

my friend jessica performed "it's an art" for ITS and it was rocking.

i have also read the book by studs terkle which inspired it (i'm sure the two are vastly different), but I loved it.
