theatre pet peeves

Oh I so agree with the children part.. I have been to sooo many shows where people bring children under the age of 6 with them.. if they are good kids and sit through the show then great, but I have witnessed so many times kids having to go to the bathroom, or they are asking for a snack, or they can't see.. etc.. if its not a Kid show i.e beauty and the beast, etc.. then leave the kids at home.

and of course the late comers! How hard is it to get there on time? I can't even count how many times I have dealt with late comers either in my row or the row in front and worst of all when they are behind you and they knock you in the head with there coats!

And I have to apologize to the shorter people, I'm 5'10, and always try to sit so that people can see behind me, but at the same time can't really slouch to much because then my knees are pushed into the back of the person chair in front of me, I usually try to get the aisle seat.. but I do try my best to be as consderate as possible! I promise!

Don't even get me started on RUDE and STUPID audience members...grr... I recently atteneded the Les Miz tour in Boston and at the start of "at the end of the day" the ushers decided to let in about 20 late comers to the seats (their seats were in the first 4 rows of the orchestra). They were blocking half the damn view of everyone sitting behind them, talking, walking slow...ugh I almost felt like slapping someone. My freind that I was with said my face turned three shades of red from anger lol. ahhh audience members who don't belong at the theatre and do not have the respect for others who are ON TIME drive me nuts!!
