The Beauty and the Beast at Winspear would be the opera version - not the Disney version we know :) So, there could be a chance both would get it. Right now, it's telling me it's cancelled at the Winspear. I dunno.

I didn't mean creativity wise - I meant in terms of the story. It's a fun musical - it touches some very strong point, the overall feelign Hairspray was intended to give was a feeling of fun (along with making you think . . I'm contradicting myself) I'm just saying, I see a lot of people being judged for liking said musicals - I think that's ridiculous. That really wasn't meant offensively :/

I've never really understood why it's a bad thing to like fun and cheesey musicals. It isn't as thought they're trying to pass themselves off as the best musical of all time - most of them accomplish exactly what they want. A ridiculous plot, and just general fun. I'm rather disappointed in both of those shows buuuut, I'll survive :) I'm sure they'll get some good ones too. One lady at the shop mentioned to me she really wished Shrek would come here - whiiich. . . . (and I'm pretty sure this is just wishful thinking) makes me hopeful that maybe they're at least considering it. If the employees are mentioning Shrek, maybe there's something going on. I dunno. Like I said, wishful thinking.

I've had mostly good expereinces at the stage door. So far, there hasn't been anything that was a HUGE disappointment (other than not meeting Adam Pascal but, eh . . it's his choice.) The "worst" I probbaly had was at the Wicked tour in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Most of the cast there were extremely nice, but when Marcie and Helene came out . .they honestly acted like they couldn't give us the time of day. There were three of us there, including a little girl about 10. She just kinda sneer
