Anyone see Terri White & Ruthie Henshall in Chicago last night??
 Apr 27 2010, 05:38:46 PM
She'll be awesome! After a bunch of mediocre Roxies (Simpson, Williams), it's great to have someone with so much hype coming on.

What's the vibe on the new Billy? My friend told me it was the father from Gossip Girl, although I don't know whether that's true. If it is, he's the one I'm worried about.

To See or Not To See: 'next fall' or sondheim
 Apr 27 2010, 05:36:30 PM
I find both of them boring, but that's just me. There's so much better to see on Broadway, although I don't know how frequently you come into the city.

You see the boob in the show too...at least I did.
Klein Hired to Adapt IN THE HEIGHTS for Film; Filming to Start in August
 Apr 13 2010, 12:54:57 PM
Marc Klein has yet to write a good movie, so I'm less than enthused. I like that they're trying to rework the story though (it is the weakest part of the show).
Just got my ALNM CD!

Lucky! I'm waiting until it comes out on iTunes, although I think that it'll be out in a week or two (Maybe tomorrow? I've got my fingers crossed).
Help In Selecting 3 Shows
 Apr 4 2010, 04:44:09 PM
See Chicago, the current cast isn't the best, but I think it's the best technical show on Broadway. I also liked West Side Story a lot, although I know there are a lot who feel differently. In the Heights is also great.
I JUST BOUGHT TIX TO AMERICAN IDIOT OPENING NIGHT!!!!
 Apr 3 2010, 05:59:06 PM
I saw A Little Night Music opening night, it really is an awesome experience. The energy buzz in the audience makes it that much better.
for sure TONY winners of 2010!

I vote they just give Allison Creel another Tony...just saying.
1st Row for Promises, at the Broadway..too close?

Glad I read this. I'm just gonna play it safe and get seats in the middle of the orchestra.
2009 Best Musical Nominees

Yeah I didn't read that as sarcastic either.
Next to Normal has recouped!
 Mar 28 2010, 10:40:47 PM
Awesome! I hope it stays on Broadway for a long time.

Ah blerg! That sucks!
MTI to work on Glee for the Stage
 Mar 21 2010, 05:47:04 PM
I know this is a HORRIBLE idea, but I can't help but get a little excited anyways. Still, a horrible idea, along with whatever Avenue G is.
Fela will win best musical
 Mar 15 2010, 08:40:54 PM
If this wins the Tony's will lose what little credibility they have left for me. Ugh, that would be worse than Gavin Creel's loss to the Billy Elliot boys.
Disney's next Broadway venture is....
 Mar 8 2010, 08:00:05 PM
So many better options (Aladdin, Hunchback)...WHY?!

I mean it could work, but I doubt it will.

Fela...am I the only one...?

I also hated it (and the feces segment was one of the worst scenes I've ever had to sit through), but towards the end of the show it did improve quite a bit (primarily because of reasons that have already been stated).
Best Written Musical Currently on Broadway?

Chicago or West Side Story
Next Mel Brooks musical
 Jan 31 2010, 09:38:30 PM
I love The Producers! I personally think it's one of the best comedy-musicals in recent history. Young Frankenstein was cute, and not once during the show did I ever think "This sounds just like The Producers."
Re: Unpopular Opinions

I don't care for Stephen Sondheim. I think his shows are boring.
Goodbye to Bye Bye Birdie!!!
 Jan 26 2010, 03:03:53 PM
It was so cute! Maybe not good (definitely miscast in more than one case), but I love the show so much anyways. So sad to see it go so soon.
