RENT hands down! it was one of the most invigorating, inspiring, and fresh and passionate shows Broadway had seen in a long time, and dare I say, still one of the only ones nowadays. And now people are going to kill me for saying it, but I will always hold a place in my heart for "The Secret Garden" :) Sue me I was 13 when it came out on Broadway, and loved it. Angels In America, as well definetly.

yeah i'm annoyed about the gay marriage bit too. I mean don't get me wrong, I think this country needs to wake up and smell the Gaydar and know that gays have a right to marry just like any other human being---that being said, RENT was written to take place in the early/mid 1990's. Gay marriage just wasn't a hot topic, was barely talked about then. Please dear god don't tell me that they might make it present-day?
