I played Matt in a college production, and I used "Johanna" from Sweeney Todd for my audition. It's a song that will show off your vocal range, and also your ability to play the romantic lead. Break a leg! It's a great part!
Sweet Smell Of Success

...this musical had a pretty short run, despite John Lithgow headlining, and a score by Hamlisch...I just got the CD and LOVE alot of the music, especially "At the Fountain" and "Don't Know Where You Leave Off"...did anyone see the show - know why it didn't work??

Plus, Kelli was in it...and she was unbelieveable in Piazza...what a voice!!

-The Ballad of Booth - ASSASSINS

"when a person's personality is personable, he shouldn't oughta sit like a lump...it's harder than a matador coercin' a bull, to try to get you offa your rump"
-You Could Drive a Person Crazy - COMPANY

not a rhyme, but one of my favorites
