Betrayal Previews  Aug 14 2019, 10:00:26 PM

Well. after attending 1st Preview in the $25 seat (Orch E9)...
Great acting.
Great direction.
Terrible seats.
I easily (easily!) missed 50% of the show

The $25 are obstructed view. And I’m going to tell the box office attendants—who, honestly, I don’t blame because they didn’t even know about the deal until the last minute yesterday (as per the gent I bought from)

But they need to be honest: If you get the $25 seats, do everyth

Necessary Pre-Tony Award Viewing

Many of you have probably already seen:

Which inspired this Saturday Night Live sketch

But I've fallen down the rabbit hole, and some of these are just sooooo ripe!

ARE THERE MORE?!! Link below, let's build a library, please!

A Doll's House Part 2 - Rush  May 14 2017, 08:02:30 PM

I rushed "A Doll's House, Part 2" today Sunday May 14, 2017.

I arrived at exactly 12noon as the box office opened. There were approx 8 people in-front of me, but a couple of them weren't rushing... (don't ask)

Rush Seats are Front Row (and after those rows are filled, empty pockets of the Orchestra are filled). If you didn't know, the standard Golden Theatre proscenium has been thrust out into the first 3 rows as a sharp 90-degree angle, so the

Come From Away rush  May 14 2017, 07:54:56 PM

Precisely! (above) in-regards to Sunday May 14, 2017.

The 1st person in line arrived at 5:45AM. The individuals whom got into line ~8:30AM were receiving SRO.

Great to know. Thanks.

Come From Away rush  May 12 2017, 10:19:18 AM

I should have clarified: Above, jennab113 says "I did SRO yesterday (Sunday). I got there about 9:30AM and was 12th in line."

The box office opens at 12PM on Sundays (not 10AM) which is why I asked about getting in line at 9AM. I hardly believe getting in line on Sunday at 5AM (a 7-hour wait) is necessary on a Sunday.

Come From Away rush  May 12 2017, 09:31:34 AM

I've read this entire thread's 6-pages from top to tail, and still don't QUITE have a conclusive idea of Rush/SRO box office trends for SUNDAY shows. The most-recent relevant post is from jennab113 whom attended Sunday 5/18.

I plan to get in line on Sunday 5/14 at 9:00AM (Box Office opens at 12noon). To be honest, I'd prefer SRO rather than Rush because of the show's running-time (better view for standing VS obstructed view for sitting).

RAFFLE: 'Hello Dolly' 6/14 to benefit NYCGMC  Feb 12 2017, 11:51:43 AM

THE BROADWAY RAFFLE TO BENEFIT NYC GAY MEN'S CHORUS RETURNS!!!

Much like last year (where we raffled-off tickets to the first performance of "Hamilton" after the Tony Awards)... we're doing it again!!!

As a fundraiser for the New York City Gay Men's Chorus, we are holding a raffle for a pair of tickets to the sold-out "HELLO DOLLY" starring Bette Midler and David Hyde Pierce for June 14 at 8PM (the first evening performance after the Tony Awards!)

Tickets for this date are currently selling for $650 each; a raffle ticket only costs you $20!!! The drawing will be held Friday night (February 17) during the NYCGMC's annual "Harmony" Gala event, so time is short! Comment below or PM me if you are interested. I'll accept Venmo as payment and will send you a photo of your ticket. You can also mail me a check (made out to "NYCGMC" but it must be received before Friday 2/17 at 12PM). You do not need to be present to win! Please support the Chorus! Good luck! Thank you!

FUN HOME Rush question  Dec 28 2013, 03:59:48 PM
You'll be fine. Tickets go on-sale at 1pm for 3pm matinees, and 6pm for 8pm shows. There is no set amount (where'd you get 16?). They sell what they have. In fact, "Fun Home" sold 70 rush tickets just the other day (granted, it was pre-Xmas, so everyone was outta town).
