Music Man Rush Line.
 Jan 7 2022, 11:27:45 AM

Rushed today and would say the snow definitely seemed to deter people! Arrived at 7:05 with a friend and we were second/third in line, with the first person only arriving 10 minutes earlier. Next person arrived at 7:30, and I would say most people arrived after 8.

There were 30 tickets being sold, and the person at the box office said it is usually around that number. Most people seemed to be buying two tickets. There were definitely people in line who didn't get tickets- at

Company Rush Tickets?
 Nov 20 2021, 03:10:09 PM

just put this on a different thread as well, but I'll paste it below:

update: I rushed Friday Nov 19 for the 8 PM show and arrived at 7:30 AM- I was third in line, behind two people who arrived together at 6:45 AM. The next person arrived around 8:00 AM, then 8:20, and by 9 AM there were 12 of us in line. By the time the box office opened there were 20 total.

The seats were pretty good- I had row P orchestra right, and others seemed to be similarly placed. The show is st

Just posted on another thread as well, but if anyone is looking for a rush update, I was rushing Company Friday Nov 19 right next door to Come From Away and asked the front of the line when they arrived- first person arrived at 8:45, and the second group arrived around 9:15.

Hadestown tour questions.

I heard from someone who saw the tour, according to her the center circle does not rotate, just the outer ring!

Good question about the lights, I would be curious to know too

moulin rouge sword-swallowers
 Oct 13 2021, 02:17:36 PM

does anyone know if they are *actually* swallowing swords at the beginning of the performance? i find that kind of hard to believe, especially since the performers don't get special recognition in the playbill for the skill. what happens if someone is sick, do multiple people know how to swallow swords, or would there just be one person? I feel like it's more likely a retractable sword, curious what others' thoughts are

rushing and lotteries post-covid?
 May 24 2021, 11:48:28 AM
With the Hadestown announcement today, I am starting to plan for cheap tickets in the fall. No matter how much I want to, I unfortunately cant get full-price tickets to every show for their first nights...

Will rush and lotteries be put on break for a few months? Is standing room over capacity and a no-go in post-covid theater? What are peoples guesses for how these options will start to be offered again?

I would love to try for SRO for Hadestowns first night back, but I am no

Burning Q About Sing Street
 May 1 2020, 05:56:25 PM

Thanks everyone, that makes a lot of sense! I kind of got that impression from the Sing Street: Grounded concert they did the other day- I am glad to hear they didn't try to stage a row boat in the ocean- I hope one day I get to experience the effect in person smiley

How did they stage the final scene?? I had tickets for the first night of previews and am crushed I won't see it. Can anyone who saw it November-January tell me about the boat scene?

Little Shop of Horrors Lottery
 Nov 24 2019, 06:23:19 PM

Lottery update!

Went today Sunday 11/24 to enter the lottery; thought I might have a better chance as the weather was pretty bad. There were about 30 or so people, and 8 tickets. Sadly, I didn't win, and they recommended people wait in the cancellation line to buy full price tickets.

Lightning thief rush
 Oct 30 2019, 12:18:38 PM

I successfully rushed for two tickets last Thursday, 10/24, at 5 PM, so definitely no need to get there early. The theatre was pretty empty, and it seemed like the balconies were closed- they moved everyone with tickets there down to the orchestra. The tickets were two second row seats.

My mom and I had a fun time, but definitely go in with your expectations set. I left with the impression this shouldn't really be on Broadway, but perhaps a smaller setting...
