Hilty & Simard to lead DEATH BECOMES HER in Chicago spring 2024
 Oct 11 2024, 03:53:04 PM

Just bought my tickets close to the stage, so excited! Does anyone know if the stage is way too high?

Swept Away buzz
 Oct 7 2024, 09:13:55 AM

First time I heard of this musical I thought it was a musical adaptation of Madonna & Guy Ritchie's atrocious movie 'Swept Away'  lol

Not on my list of musicals to see this fall though

Any rumors about what production could be ready to replace

My thoughts exactly! The TV series was cancelled after season 2 and the show got terrible reviews overall (after being critically acclaimed in the pilot episode). I wish them the all best, but it's a very odd option for a musical imo.

The fact The Notebook is still open is beyond comprehension...

W4E has been losing money since the end of June so I believe a closing notice is coming really really soon... also BTTF seems to be done on Broadway, but it'll do well on tour.

I'm concerned about some upcoming new shows this fall/Winter, sales do not seem impressive either

THE NOTEBOOK to Close on Broadway on December 15, 2024

Broadway Flash said: "Why is this allowed?? Why would they let everyone jump ship at the end?"

I don't think The Notebook is actually closing in December. I feel It's closing in a much sooner date and so Cardoza made official his departure. The musical is already a sinking ship so it's allowed for cast members to find other jobs

Britney Spears Starring in JOSEPH Film?
 Sep 3 2024, 02:44:47 PM

This is just a speculation, nothing has been reported. Having said that, I'd love for Britney to play the narrator. However, she'd need A LOT of work with her vocals. I'm not saying she can't play the part, but she needs a lot of work to do. I'm 100%  here for Britney in a musical, but I'm also realistic

THE NOTEBOOK to Close on Broadway on December 15, 2024
 Aug 30 2024, 10:03:41 AM

Such a weird closing date, the show is on life support so I'm not sure why they want to keep burning money until December lol

Any guess what's coming to the Schoenfeld in 2025?

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 8/18/24

Interesting how quickly The Notebook lost steam after opening. The show most likely will be posting their closing notice pretty soon. I still remember some people saying it'd be the musical of 2024 lol

W4E is pretty expensive to run as some users noted a few weeks ago so I don't think those numbers are what they need to keep it running. They'll be closing soon imo. Suffs still has a chance to pick up but I don't see it improving that much

The Notebook can't keep holding on much longer with those numbers, labor day closing?

W4E and Suffs also seem to be drying out...

Britney Spears collaborating with Marc Platt and Jon Chu on biopic

I see The Notebook closing by labor day

Suffs seems to be doing a bit better but I don't know how well their ticket sales for the upcoming months look like

Disney’s HERCULES will transfer to the West End in 2025

Anecdotally speaking, anyone I have ever spoken to between the ages of 20-40ish have all unequivocally said Hercules is their favorite Disney film of all time and the one they have the strongest connection to. I'm not really sure why, but that seems to be

THE HEART OF ROCK AND ROLL to close on June 23
 Jun 18 2024, 11:23:24 AM

Jonathan Cohen said: "Unfortunately not surprising, but not giving two weeks notice does seem a little unusual."

I believe it's more of a marketing strategy. Like they believe people will rush to buy tickets knowing there's just 6 days left to see the show. Whereas if they announce 2 weeks prior, they fear people might forget its closing date, perhaps.
