Neither, believe it or not. It has the basic idea of aging backwards but is a new story that uses the (Public domain) short story's name to sell tickets.

Constance Wu needs to STFU. She's seething because she wasn't able to tank this show. I hope Feldman avoids her going forward. It was noble of him to attempt to have a dialogue with her but nothing good can come from engaging with her.

What harm is done if a 20 year old can't see Odom in Hamilton? There are so many other wonderful options with affordable ticket in new York and the rest of the country. We could complain about tickets for one specific show with one specific star or we could celebrate all of the affordable options. 

Based on the extremely positive response Odom is getting, I don't think people who have purchased tickets to see him feel like "victims." Most seem to view it as money well spent, albeit a splurge. 

 

A lot of kids get into musicals through Tiktok, YouTube, or when I was young, VHS and CD. Tickets for shows were much cheaper then but I still couldn't afford $30 to see Phantom or whatever. That didn't stop me from growing up and becoming a show queen. 

I just think there are better areas to angry about capitalism, such as and especially healthcare.

Leslie Odom is a working actor. It's very strange to ask someone if they are taking a job because they care or if "it's for the money." Of course he wants lucrative gigs and there isn't anything wrong with that. Seems pretty normal to want to book a well paying gig. I don't see what the problem is.

Slander/libel has never been legal, even in America which is much better on free speech than other countries. 

I think Cheno is a good hearted middle aged lady who was trying to be nice, but I totally get why some folks are upset, because it ain't exactly a stretch to interpret her post in a bad light. I'm willing to give her benefit of the doubt for now and not parse her every word in the worst way possible. I understand why some of you feel differently. 

Even with all of his acclaim, I still feel that Van Dyke is underappreciated. He was a song and dance man, a sitcom star, and could play a scary sociopath (columbo). Who else has his range?
