I don't think it's coming out — it looks like the Redwood vinyl release that was canceled the minute they announced the closing. I think they're just trying to cut their losses.

Rob Madge's MY SON'S A QUEER... not at the Lyceum February 2024 Jun 13
2025, 07:17:01 AM
Cute, sweet (and short) show for Pride Month. I can't imagine who thought this could work on Broadway — it has Off-Broadway written all over it. It could’ve had a nice 16-week run in one of the 199-seat theaters. It’s the kind of show that really needs the intimacy between the performer and the audience, which was completely lost in the large house (I was seated in the back of the orchestra). It's not life-changing; I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to s

CALL ME IZZY Previews May 24
2025, 11:29:18 PM
A few quick thoughts on tonight’s performance:
This was nowhere near 85 minutes—tonight’s show ran closer to 2 hours, including a small technical mishap at the beginning (about 3–5 minutes). I’m sure they’ll eventually tighten it up and turn it into a solid 90-minute play.
Jean was terrific in a somewhat predictable storyline about an abusive husband (plenty of Waitress flashbacks). That said, the set was a major disappointment. The p

FLOYD COLLINS Previews Apr 20
2025, 03:11:06 AM
Saw this today, and it was really the first time I experienced a massive number of people leaving a show at intermission. Even if you didn't like the show, you probably paid quite a bit for the night—would you really rather miss the second act? I'll never understand that, even if the show's not great. Anyway, nearly two full rows near me emptied out after intermission, which just feels so disrespectful to the actors on stage.

Betty Gilpin joins OH, MARY as Mary Todd Lincoln. Extended through June 28th, 2025! Jan 25
2025, 11:32:03 AM
Oh man. Saw this for the third time, now with Gilpin. I have to say, it just didn't click as it did with Cole. It didn't work for me, and the show was just not as funny. (Start short spoiler) The cabaret at the end just didn't work at all and didn't get nearly as many laughs as Cole's version did. (End spoiler) Maybe I shouldn't have compared her performance to Cole's as much, but they were so dominant in the role that it's hard to unsee their characteriza

Whoopi Goldberg in ANNIE at MSG? Jan 5
2025, 10:47:40 PM
I'm happy I only paid $38 to see this. Whoopi was bad and couldn’t project to row F, let alone row V in the back. Thankfully, there were technical difficulties at the beginning of the show, so by the time it started (30 minutes late), everyone was finally in their seats. After intermission, however, it took the audience another 30 minutes to return to their seats. Terrible theater—I would not return to any production in that dump again.

TAMMY, Paper those seats! Nov 27
2024, 02:49:29 PM
I was at Tammy Faye the other day, and the theater was embarrassingly empty. I thought the show was a good time, and the cast was clearly giving it their all, but I felt secondhand embarrassment for them the entire two hours, especially since the cast kept using the center orchestra aisle for entrances and exits and could very clearly see that the orchestra section had maybe 200 people in it.
I don’t know when producers decide to start offering comps for a show,

People seriously need to pick their battles. Getting outraged over what someone may or may not have liked on Instagram is a waste of energy. We’re in a world facing real issues. If someone’s alleged political preference is enough to send you into a frenzy, maybe it’s time to reassess priorities. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, whether or not it fits your personal narrative, and this obsession with 'cancelling' is only making things worse. To be clear,

From Here musical about Pulse Nightclub massacre Jul 13
2024, 11:06:20 PM
Saw this tonight. GREAT voices in the cast, especially Becca Southworth and Michelle Coben. The cast was very hardworking and clearly gave it their all. I'd love to see most of them continue in other shows in the city—they're very talented and made the show worth my time.
The show itself is rough to sit through, especially the first hour. Not because of its subject matter (which is not the Pulse nightclub massacre at all), but mostly because of all the gay jokes that didn

Eden was on when I was at the show Tuesday night. And she was great but clearly suffering. LOVED every minute of this "dumpster fire"

Lempicka false advertising Apr 20

Wah, there's so much hate on this board. It's perfectly okay to criticize things, but the pure hate towards everything related to this show on this board is baffling (Eden should've performed sick? Really?). Calm down, move on.

Attended the matinee today for a second viewing and was disappointed to miss Eden, but the performance was ELECTRIC. Mariand was terrific, and it's hard to believe this was her first time in that role on that stage. Her voice was clearly not tired from singing this score for 8 shows a week, so she easily hit all those notes... Incredible energy from a 1 PM matinee audience too, with a mid-show standing ovation (that made Mariand visibly break character and tear up).
I personally love the piece and would get that OBCR as soon as it's out, but one thing I still find upsetting is how terrible Andrew Samonsky's role is (‘the husband&rsquo ... he is such a great actor (used to watch him in SOUTH PACIFIC on repeat) but what he is given is just a boring mess.
I think they managed to get the show right post-previews. Don't understand all the negativity here (and on the critics side), I bet it's mostly from people who just enjoy being negative for the sake of it. But oh well, I'll definitely be returning!

A complete surprise for me as well. Everything just clicked together, and the score is something you'd want to listen to again and again. Did not expect it to be this ready at this stage, but it's in pretty great shape and I feel it's definitely a contender in the Best Musical race. Eden and Amber are terrific. Will it survive the bloodbath of new musicals this season? Hopefully... Will post a more detailed review later on.

Trevor the Musical on Disney+ Jun 26
2022, 09:56:35 AM
I didn't see anything posted on this recently, so was wondering if anyone watched it?
It's a very important story that i'm happy is now there for all to watch, especially on a platform like Disney Plus. The Diana Ross numbers and her little additions to the plot really improve the otherwise forgettable "13"-like score and the thin plot. But it's still a fun watch and i'm glad it's out there.
