It's a sweet show. It doesn’t have the loveliness or political statement of Dear World, and it’s not as exciting as The Queen of Versailles, a superior score than this, but it’s cute. It really loses steam in the second act with the lack of drama. It all gets resolved too easily as she ends up back in town after one song. It kind of reminds me of a Sondheim show contemplating love and life.
