If they were to racebend it like with ANNIE, I think Keke Palmer would make a better Natalie than Brandy and Jennifer Hudson as Diana would even blow Alice Ripley out of the water.
However, I don't think that's likely to happen so my Caucasian dreamcast would be:

Personally, I wish they would make movies of STARMITES and ZANNA, DON'T! but since those are relatively obscure musicals (even though ZANNA's controversialness has caused high school productions thereof to make some headlines and STARMITES was a Tony nominee back in the 80s.)
The more popular musicals I would like to see onscreen are WICKED, PROMISES PROMISES (because if they made a HAIRSPRAY non-musical movie and a musical one, why can't they do the same here), GUYS AND DOLLS, SPRING AWAKEN

I just want to know if anyone else is a fan of the musical Starmites. If you are, do you know if it's likely to get revived because I've always imagined a revival with (though they might be too big names to do this show all together) Felicia Day and Darren Criss as the leads and Sutton Foster or Jennifer Hudson (if you're okay with race-bending) as Diva.

I knew about the Lorax sequence in Seussical but I never knew it was an independent musical. If we gave it a different title, we could make one of the 2012 movie.

Yesterday I watched the new Dr.Seuss Lorax movie and it occurred to me that with a few script changes and some more songs, it could make a good Broadway musical.
Does anybody else agree?

I like the idea of Meryl as the Witch but I have another interesting possibility, Jane Lynch. I've heard her on Glee and she definitely can sing at least enough for that part. She also is very good at that kind of character, acting-wise.
I also would want Carly Rose Sonenclar as Little Red Riding Hood. If you've seen her on X-Factor, you know she has the talent to pull off that part vocally and if you know her from The Electric Company like I do, you know she is also a very good actres
