Last Five Years: These are the people who cast Linda Blair in a musical.

Company: I’ve seen an audience of Amys watch a cast of Amys act in a play. Seems there are more of her everyday.

[title of show]: Audiences want to see Paris Hilton in The Apple Tree.

Hairspray: They can keep us from kissing, but they can't stop us from singing!

Fantasticks: It begins with a forest where the woodchucks woo and leaves wax green, and vines entwine like lovers, try

The Guthrie's production of Glass Menagerie (1988, I think) included a moment where the entire set appeared to turn into glass. It was a magical moment in an otherwise dismal production. Polly Holliday as Amanda? Kiss my grits!

Frank Rich wrote (about Merrily, I believe) that to be a Sondheim fan was to have your heart broken from time to time.

And this is why theater people can't have nice things.

jasonf - I'd heard "Pretty Lady" in the Sondheim Celebration at Carnegie Hall and just fell in love with it, so I was anxious to hear the rest of Pacific Overtures. I finally got the CD, and geez. I hadn't been that disappointed since Howard Hessman left "Head of the Class."

I haven't seen many Broadway shows, but of the few ... I loved Taboo.

Despite its flaws, I really enjoyed Seussical. There's just something so magical about seeing a show amongst an audience full of children. Their awe is inspiring!

And I wish I'd seen [title of show].

 Dear Glee,
I have SO many reasons to love you. Why are you trying so hard to make me hate you? Is it something I said?

 Kisses,
 Suzy
