Toronto Theatre Question Jul 16

I believe Priscilla has a Thursday matinee for October 28th only, so I was thinking matinee of Priscilla and evening of Wicked. May not do Wicked, though, as I've seen it a few times, most recently earlier this year in Providence. Still want to see Priscilla, though.

Toronto Theatre Question Jul 14

Thanks, but I'm not looking to stay for the night - here's what I'm looking to do: bus from Maine to NYC on Wednesday, see "Driving Miss Daisy" Wed. night, leave NYC around 11:00pm, arrive Toronto 9:00am Thursday, see "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" and "Wicked" then leave Toronto on 11:15pm bus back to NYC, then back to Boston and Maine. Sounds like a lot, doesn't it?!

Toronto Theatre Question Jul 14

Sorry - I didn't see a message board area specifically for Toronto so I am posting here. Does anyone know if you can bring shoulder/messenger bags into Toronto theatres? I'm going to try and do two shows in one day and won't be staying at a hotel. Also, does anyone know if you can purchase a day pass for a YMCA so I can shower and change clothes (I'm taking a 12-day bus ride to get there!)

Broadway Across America - Boston Announces 2010-2011 Season Apr 28

What really irks me is that I heard from a reliable source that Providence could have booked Billy Elliot for their 2010-2011 season but opted for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular instead! Really?

What a terribly disappointing season. I always thought Boston was one of the premier cities for touring productions. What makes matters worse is Providence and Hartford's seasons aren't much better. Where's Billy Elliot?

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but why isn't Billy Elliott listed on the cumulative grosses page for the shows currently running on Broadway?

LORD OF THE RINGS and the critics Mar 26

I don't understand why people put so much weight on the words of a few people who probably have no more passion for the theater than you or I. What qualifications do critics have that we don't? I would think that if a show looked interesting to me I would go and make up my own mind. If I don't like the show, it's all part of the theater experience. But I'd rather spend the money and make my own decision than trust someone who I don't even know (and I don't care how much you read a certain cr
