Just a little perspective - if they are obstructed side Balcony seats in row C, those have in the past retailed for $20 each ($40 total for both parts). Not sure about the center balcony price, but just a little information about what the face value could be.

It is definitely personal preference. Some people don't want to do a matinee especially if they are from out of town and sightseeing. It can be a bit of a long day to see both parts, but it is also great to see the piece as a whole. I think it really depends on what your plans are for when you are in town and if you are used to and/or would enjoy a two show day. There are pros and cons to both experiences. I saw it all in one day the first time, and I definitely would have been drive

Not on Broadway. It's pretty farfrom the stage. None of the Broadway theaters with balconies are as faraway.

The Lyric has a really great balcony. And yes it is high but in relation to other balconies I've sat in, it is much closer to the stage. The effects are so magical from there as well. :)

Orch Row F is a great seat, and you'll definitely be able to see the effect that happens multiple times throughout the show in those seats- as long as we are talking about the same one!

I happened to have sat in Row Q and Row H. I would definitely recommend Row G even if you are short (I am also very short). There is a slight slope in the orch which helps a bit and the seats have nice "windows." Though the last time I saw the show, the usher told me that the cushions are just for kids and there were far less available for use, so that is something to keep in mind. Not sure if this is a new rule or just a particular usher.

I would expect that if BroadwayCon attendees wanted to attend, they would aim before or after the convention simply because the time commitment would cut into con programming. Unless they are attending just one day or going for one specific event. That being said, I'm not really sure how many people attend the con in total, but I would assume that it isn't EVERYONE'S cup of tea anyway and that the number of tourist drastically decreasing otherwise would even things out.

Row M - center- is super awesome. For the price it is a well placed seat with very little obstruction. Good job!

I would warn against left side Row K of the mezzanine. There is a break and railing a few feet away. The view is pretty decent, but the seats are a little lower, so the heads in the previous row - while a decent distance away can be a problem. A booster seems to remedy the situation though. Just a heads up!

Regardless of the how's or whys - the ticket alert date states that they just released tickets for all dates in July. I don't see any of the lower priced tickets, but if you are looking for a $179/$189 seat for a specific July date, you might want to check it out. I also saw a $155 seat as well.

I had a friend who was at the show yesterday, and she reported a full cast. :) 

Currently August 22nd has a seat for $80 per part - Balcony Row E. I sat in balc row E recently and thought it was a great view! :)
