Nurlaila Karim is an amazing Dutch performer, Dorothy in the show. check out some of the earlier bww posts/links on this topic and you can get the idea. www.wizfansite.nl

News/ Reviews on Dutch version of The Wiz...?
 Dec 29 2006, 01:32:40 PM
I recently checked out the Wiz(NL) fansite and it looked as if a couple of the leads--Danny Yanga, specifically-- had been replaced.
Does anyone have updates on this show...is Nurlaila still playing Dorothy?
Any news will be much appreciated.

Who else -besides the amazing Ms.Kahn- might have caught the energy of the role? Michelle Greene,perhaps...? I had high hopes for Melanie Griffiths in "Born Yesterday" and the same letdown...

I'm afraid to ask, but did "I Am Changing" remain in the movie??
Did Ms. Hudson get to keep it?
Must have missed this in a previous post.
Thanks.

re: Megan Mullally in 'Karen: The Musical?'

Did anyone here see her on Broadway in 'How to Succeed.." or anything else?
I'd love to see Megan in 'Karen: The Musical' or any type of "one woman show".

Beautiful review, PersonofInterest. I'm gonna read it again!

Closing night for ACL in SF.....
 Sep 3 2006, 02:48:53 PM
Was anyone else at the show last night? It was quite wonderful
to see the changes since previews in July. Everyone seemed
stronger and to be having fun with their roles. WHEW! As we left the Curran, the moving trucks were outside and we all sent
cheers to the cast for their run on Broadway. I brought a "newbie" to the show and he loved it.

My issue with Constantine is that he poses and mugs way too much...there could be potential talent if he chills a little and/or takes direction.

Babyfishmouth, I LOVE your name-- my second favorite
moment in that movie!!! (WHMS)

Did anyone here see her in The Bells Are Ringing a few years ago?

Blueroses- thanks for your comment about JHud's songs. I felt that she had the Broadway thing down on season 3. She kinda reminded me of another Jennifer H. back then. It would be cool to be able to download her AI version Weekend In New England or Circle...
re: Who was the best Cassie?
 Aug 9 2006, 12:51:00 PM
Wow...Leland Palmer in ACL...loved her in All That Jazz...
Theatrelover, you reminded me that in the early to mid-eighties there was a televised show with all the ACL casts performing simultaneously. Still kick myself for missing it. Anyone have info. about this? is it on DVD anywhere?

Awesome dreamcasts. Let's hope something comes out of the
story---musical or movie-wise.

What about a male lead as Mrs. Madrigal?
re: Make Someone Happy - Do Re Mi

Was that Jimmy Durante singing it at the end of "Sleepless in
Seattle"? Also, what's the rest of Do Re Mi like...?

re: 'A Chorus Line' Cast to appear on 'The View from the Bay' Monday
 Jul 31 2006, 08:16:04 PM
Just saw the View From the Bay segment.
I also thought that Chryssie and Tony worked well together when I saw ACL on 7/29. She brought a fresh spin to Kristine and seemed to have a kind of quirky timing--which I liked a lot. Like Beth Howland (dating myself here) mixed in with Lisa Kudrow. There may be more nice surprises (hope, hope!) in the new cast as the show evolves.
