Play Recommendations to Produce
 Mar 11 2012, 08:57:41 AM
We've looked into The Gin Game. It's just not the right thing.

Visiting Mr. Green sounds interesting. I don't know it will it work with an obviously non jewish actor who's a little younger? The actor I have is 67 and in great physical shape.

Thanks for these recommendations and keep them coming.

Play Recommendations to Produce

I'm looking for a play to produce with a complex male lead aged 50+ and a 2-4 person cast. A drama is ideal, but all genres and time periods will be considered. Age and gender of the remaining cast members is not a concern. I know that's not much to go on, but any all all recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Play Recommendations?

I'm looking for plays that meet the following criteria:
- Male complex lead 50+(might be able to play down to 45)
- Drama, but well written comedy may be considered
- Small cast
- Contemporary is ideal, but a classic may be considered
- Shouldn't be extremely well known. I'm not looking for King Lear or Willy Loman.
- Not recently produced in NYC on broadway or off-broadway

re: Next to Normal Colors

I don't think anyone is suggesting the use of color to be groundbreaking. I work with designers all the time and know how that process works. This is another layer to the show that I am trying to analyze/understand because, while it always has significance, in Next to Normal specifically, who wears what color and if it is similar to another character strongly defines the relationships and the emotions being expressed as does the lighting.

Has anyone tracked the primary costume colors (particularly for Di, Dan, Gabe, and Natalie) and the background colors used on the cyc throughout the show?
