How Many Of The 40 Broadway Theaters Have You Been To?
 Dec 15 2014, 07:27:13 PM
21/40!
(Passed the halfway mark)

I'll be going back to NYC in a few days and just realized that I'll be going to theatres I've already been to (St James: Gypsy/Side Show, Stephen Sondheim: Trip to Bountiful/Beautiful and Lyceum The Realistic Joneses/Disgraced)

Oh well, I guess that means I'll have to come back...

Show suggestions on and off-bway?
 Dec 4 2014, 04:21:58 PM
I'll be returning to NYC in two weeks and was wondering what the word of mouth was. I want to fit in 4-5 shows (both plays and musicals).

I plan to definitely see:
Curious Incident
Side Show

Maybe:
Beautiful (If I see it, I thought I might as well go before Jessie leaves)

The musicals on Broadway that I haven't seem are The Last Ship, On the Town, Rock of Ages, If/Then, Aladdin and I haven't seen any of the plays currently on Broadway.

"I haven't seen Gentlemen's guide but I thought supposedly everyone loved it. What's wrong with it?"

Keep in mind that of everyone who mentioned GG: 3 people said they loved it, 1 person said they liked it and 3 people said they hated it. So I don't think anything is wrong with it, I think it's a matter of taste.

I personally was very disappointed with Gentlemen's Guide, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't have won the Tony. I just found it dull and unfunny...

I'll be picking up the ticket that day at the theatre so I can meet you either at the venue or somewhere closeby.

Short Play ideas...
 Oct 3 2009, 08:40:43 PM
I was watching Play by Samuel Beckett on youtube recently and it blew me away. Can you think of any other short plays (under 10 minutes) that don't have a huge cast (1 to 4 people) and that are really good? Kind of talent show material...

Thanks

I saw the show the 21st of december and I left the show dumbfounded... this show is INTENSE!!!!!!! After the Act 2 finale you're just astounded at this horrific story that is so well done. I love the fact that this musical is theatre and not a "show", if you get what I mean.

The lead actors were all great, some members of the ensemble I found weak (but that's just my opinion) and I found it boring that the ensemble especially the female don't get to do much... but that's the way it's w
