I don't really think Bare sounds like Rent at all... I was in Bare two years ago and am doing Rent now (hooray for colleges that like to be "edgy"), so I've heard both scores altogether too many times for my liking and really don't see many similarities. I was very excited to see that Bare is (potentially...) coming to Broadway, though... like many others, I recognize that it's kind of awful, but I have such a soft spot for it.
