I would be SO happy if this finally made it. I really do think there is a market for it. These producers could have a huge hit!
Bare to Bway

You may want to put a question mark in the title. Or add "May be..." before "coming to Bway." It's not definite.
Wow that is so 5-6 years ago, lol. I wonder if it will actually happen this time. Updated On: 11/4/09 at 01:35 PM
I hope this actually happens this time!
Great great score.
Isn't Damian still in prison?
I just have a hard time believing it will happen, with the writer's reputation (and life) essentially "blacklisted" forever. I know the writer's imprisonment shouldnt have an impact but I have to believe it could have some type of affect.
I thought he got in trouble for stealing money from a well known production studio. I don't remember the details and was unaware if he actually went to prison.

His name was, at one point, was in the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept. database and I have additionally heard stories about him laundering employer's money out of the movie studio (for his own personal use).
Maybe it was all cleared up and settled - that's why I asked!
Weird...I was just talking about why BARE never happened at Dodger Stages earlier today. How strange...
I hope it happens.
Damon is doing fine. I chat with him from time to time.
I'm surprised Hangii isn't involved.
Oh. From prison, Uncageg?

IF this production happens, it would be a big favor to everyone because finally people would realize that Bare, while sort of good, isn't good enough. Book trouble with characters that are sort of stock and dull.
Same goes for these readings this season of Carrie (patently ridiculous) and Anyone Can Whistle (book trouble).
MusicSnob1, he is not in prison.
WOSQ, while "bare" may not be perfect, I really enjoyed it when I saw it in NYC and just recently in Denver.

It never really struck me as a BROADWAY show. Much more off-Broadway. Intimate.
Then again, it was also supposed to open in SF....
tourboi, I agree, I saw it more as an off-Broadway show also.

No way. If something like RENT can work on Broadway, then this should have no problem.
I really don't think BARE should be mentioned in the same sentence or breath as ANYONE CAN WHISTLE or CARRIE...
I mean, c'mon... and I even think there are some good things in BARE's score... but, c'mon...

BARE's story is much more internal and intimate than RENT. The two can't be compared at all.

I've seen more intimate shows on Broadway. And yes they can be compared in the sheer size of the productions and casts and orchestras.
This needs to happen. The story is beautiful. The fact that it is solely teens with this powerful story told through song, it just needs to happen. I feel like lots of people will enjoy this show and it will grow a bigger fan base. Get Groff in this IMMEDIATELY.

God please keep Groff and his paper acting away from this show. PLEASE. I hope he's too busy with Glee.
Hopefully Jared Moore will be part of this.
I really, really hope this happens. I won't hold my breath though.
Lea Michelle could potentially be a good Ivy, 'Glee' success is a bonus.
Matt Doyle too, actually. Assuming he brushes up his acting/stage presence...
