Ryan Murphy's HOLLYWOOD on Netflix May 4
2020, 07:23:28 PM
To use a Broadway phrase for “Hollywood”...Not since Carrie… This is a horribly written and horribly acted show. It’s as if Ryan Murphy had a checklist of everything he wanted to include in the show, threw it all in a blender, and came up with Hollywood. There is no creativity or imagination on display. For those who say this is a “fantasy”, every fantasy must be grounded in some reality. There was no reality to any of this. A space alien could have landed in the middle of ACE

Long time posters who no longer post Nov 23

As one who joined when BWW fist started, it as my pleasure to take on the stupidity of many like Namo and FaithPriceFan. The board has changed - instead of 10 threads on Wicked, we now have 10 threads about stage dooring.

Instead of Ruben and Clay performing, I propose the show just read this thread a la "Love Letters".

La Cage: How Can We Miss You If You Dont Go Away Mar 15
2010, 10:02:29 PM
Wasnt La Cage on Broadway about 5 years ago? And then they revived Into The Woods less than 10 years after the original? And let's not talk about Les Miz! Do producers really think we want to see a show that just closed so quickly? I won't be suprised if Rent is announced for this fall.

If there was any justice, she should have won for Piazza. Such a challenging role and much better than the other winner. Kelli will be nominated again this year and, unfortunately, she will not win. I agree that this kind of role/performance can easily be overlooked for another actos whose character chews the scenery.

Deborah has Camp Electric Youth, a summer theater camp in Hollywood. It sounds awesome! She is teaching as are numerous celebrities like Marissa Jaret Winokur, Eden Espinosa (looove her!!!), Wayne Brady and others. http://www.campelectricyouth.com//index.html
