I won the May 17th matinee lottery. There were about 10 people who didn't get tickets.

How many recordings of Chess are there? Because I have an awesome version of 'Nobody's Side' on my ipod - spelled 'Nodoby's Side' - but it's also a bit of a mystery. I don't know who's singing, and I don't know where I got it from. From the pronunciation of words like 'fast' and 'cast' she sounds like she might possibly be English, but it's definitely not Elaine Page. And her high note is fierce! Can anyone help me out here?

They're smart. Find a job and then don't let go of it.

Unfortunately I can't go either, but as an aside - your posts don't seem to be showing up on the T.O board. I'd really like to know what you thought about the Sound of Music!

Did anyone see this back in the 80s? I've been on a bit of an Ann Morrison kick lately - (there's a fun video up on LeTube where she's briefly feeling-up a young Kristin Chenoweth in the Kit Kat Klub) - and just discovered this work. It sounds haunting.

Oh hey! Maybe youse guyses can answer my question regarding fried fish. Did they keep that awsome line:

"You like haddock?" ?

I can't imagine why they wouldn't, but it's really important that I find out.

Jeffy also mentions both his mother and masturbation in the same sentence. It's fantastic!

In the Tokyo production of Wicked, Elphaba doesn't say 'blonde', she says 'Bakka', which means stupid/dumb. The 'dumb blonde' joke doesn't translate.

Yeah, but that thread was about Priscilla coming to the U.S, and Toronto isn't in the U.S.

Good news! Although there's been no official word from Mirvish yet.

Merrily We Roll Along, OBC. During 'The Hills of Tomorrow', when the two valedictorian speeches start to overlap.

'And most important, the debt I owe my
generously talented friend and classmate:
Charles Kringas!
- Kringas ... '

The way Geoffrey Horne hesitates/stumbles over the final 'Kringas' is just so sad. And it makes me feel sad. So I have to go back and listen to the Overture, and then everything is ok again. Love that Overture.
