Was dying to see Brian D'Arcy James in Something Rotten! but ended up seeing his understudy Matt Wall. While he was okay, the comedic timing was almost non-existent when I went which was a bit of a bummer. I saw Timothy Ware go on for Billy Porter in Kinky Boots (who I also had been dying to see), but Timothy Ware was absolutely fantastic (although some of the high notes seem to be a bit hard for him to reach at times).

I agree with you. I saw the show Saturday night (*barf*), and the mezzanine was barely half full. Didn't get a look at the orchestra, though. Although tickets are pretty expensive for that show, at the cheapest being $59 for a rear mezz seat or $37 for very minimal amount of partial view tickets.
