Internships
 Oct 22 2016, 05:34:16 PM

Hello!

I'm currently a freshman enrolled in college here in the city. I'm majoring in Arts & Entertainment Management with a potential minor in Special Events Marketing.

My friends and I, all freshman, are seeking internship positions to work in the industry. I was curious as to if anyone on this board knows about companies that will hire/intern freshmen for the spring season?

While my friends will be away for the summer, I will still be living in

TUCK EVERLASTING Previews
 Apr 2 2016, 03:08:32 PM

I saw this last night and enjoyed it, especially the beautiful second act. I arrived at the theatre around 1PM and got a rush ticket Orchestra Row F Seat 18. Upon my arrival to my seat I was disheartened. It appeared my view was the partialest of partial, but it actually turned out to be a lovely seat. I did miss a few moments, but I leaned forward a little during those moments and was completely fine. I certainly did not miss anything and encourage you all to rush this if you are even s

OLD HATS Live Stream Inquiry
 Apr 2 2016, 02:58:00 PM

Hey guys. First off for those who don't know:

"Following The New Group's BURIED CHILD live stream this past Wednesday, BroadwayHD will present Signature Theatre's special return engagement of Old Hats, created and performed by Bill Irwin and David Shiner, with music and lyrics by and featuring Shaina Taub, and directed by Tina Landau, this Saturday, April 2, at 8:00 PM EDT."

In the article which I saw this (https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/BroadwayHD-to-Live-Stream-Signatures-OLD-HATS-This-Saturday-20160401) it says that I could sign up for a free "live stream pass". Does this mean that the stream itself is free? Or would I have to pay the $14.99 to have this service for a month to watch it tonight. I did skip out on Buried Child, but this one certainly intrigues me more.

I hope some of you will be able to enjoy this tonight.

Any help is appreciated. Have a good night!

Before Your Very Eyes
 Nov 29 2015, 11:48:05 PM

I wish I saw this earlier to report how wonderful and moving this show was.

I rushed tonight's final performance and all I can simply say is... "wow".

The Gob Squad really pulled some amazing work from these children. The use of the previous recordings and the dual screens was very simple, but effective. (So were the song choices.) The children (Team 1) were all truly invested in the piece and really moved me, especially within the first twenty min

Theatre-Up Close Season 2
 Oct 16 2015, 12:13:29 AM

Hello! I was just curious if anyone was tuning in to this seasons new offerings?

Maybe we could start a thread on this great program!

The next few editions have been announced, but it says there are many more to come. Does anyone have any insight on what shows were recorded?

The ending of
 Oct 11 2015, 01:06:50 AM

Kad said: "I thought the ending sequence of this play was very out of sync with the rest of the work."

I agree. It wasn't bad, but I'm not sure it was warranted. Would you mind sharing your interpretation?

The ending of

Quite possibly.

I do have to admit, the whole "supernatural" side of this show came upon the audience very quickly. The shadow with the phone and then the Asian lady passing by...

It all was so strange, but very interesting. It reminded me of Annie Baker's "John".

The ending of "The Humans" (MAJOR SPOILERS)
 Oct 10 2015, 11:57:06 PM

Hey guys!

I just saw this great show tonight and would like to discuss what the f*#k happened in those last few moments. (I know there is a thread for this show, but I wouldn't like to post a major spoiler in a thread for people deciding whether or not to see a show.)

So... what happened?

My guest and I, over dinner, came to the conclusion that Erik (played wonderfully by Mr. Birney) ultimately died. Throughout the play he is stumbling and even clutches

Deaf West's Spring Awakening Broadway Previews
 Sep 14 2015, 07:47:43 AM

Whizzer, my friend and I wished they performed "Whispering" in ASL. I think that would've been chilling.

I saw the show this last Firday and lost the lotto as well. Was in row F furthest to the left. I did miss some side action and some subtitles throughout the show. But, all in all it was a great view. If you know the show well enough, or are planning a quick second visit I'd recommend them for the price. (The lotto loser seats are $55)

I thought the show

College Inquiry
 Sep 12 2015, 06:08:17 PM

Hello! I've been a big fan of these boards for a while and I have a question for you all. I'd appreciate all of your insight on this topic.

I love theatre. It's always been a part of my life and I want to continue to study it during my college years. Pace University is currently high up on my list. I was just wondering if Pace has a good reputation within the industry. I plan on working behind the scenes (I'd go under the major "Management- Arts and Entertainme
