Am I the only one excited about this? A few days before previews and not much chatter on these boards about it.
I'm looking forward to this one. Picked up a ticket for 4/6. Thought the video clips looked and sounded good - lots of energy and emotional possibilities with the concept of aging. We'll see!
I'm looking forward to it, have a ticket for June.
1. I loved the book as a kid and from what I gather, this seems to follow the story of the book more than the movie did
2. Carolee Carmello and Terrence Mann are two of my favorites
3. Excited to see what Sarah Charles Lewis can do - I love seeing talented kids make their debuts

We're seeing it on May 13 with a young lady who LOVES the story. I'm very much looking forward to it, and very interested to see what people have to say during the preview period.
Do we know if Sarah Charles Lewis is scheduled to do all 8 performances a week? Any chance Brooklyn will take the matinees on two-show days?

I've seen this and it looks and sounds GREAT! The acting is too rate of course.
I'll be at dress rehearsal on Tuesday and the second preview on Friday. I'm so excited. I've been waiting for this since they did the first readings all those years ago.

I read the book many years ago and while I enjoyed it, I don't have a strong memory of what it was about. I'll be interested to hear how they balance the story of the young protagonist with the mostly older cast and who seems to be the target audience for this show.

I'm guessing a typo: TOP rate.
I'll be going next Week via TDF. Though that $19 ticket is sounding pretty good now :/
In any case, looking forward....
I will be there April 11th! Looking forward to it!

I've been trying to find those $19.75 tickets online now for the last 3 hours. No luck. Anyone happen to find how you can access them or have they not been released yet (even though they were supposed to be available at midnight)?
There is another topic filled with all the folks that tired as well only to find that there was nothing at midnight. Someone called Telecharge customer service and the best answer was that until the Telecharge managers come in in the morning, there is nothing in their system about the deal. Someone either at Tuck or Telecharge dropped the ball on this one.
I don't know if I read it wrong, but I assumed it to mean that it was being released Tuesday night at midnight?
nice video showing the installation of the tree. Looks amazing.

Just looked at ticket availability for the first preview in two days. Doesn't look nearly as well-sold as I was expecting. I'm hesitant for this show.

^ as well you should be. no major star, the commercial appeal of the property vanished years ago and i just dont know who the audience is for this. is it strictly families and theatre geeks? if so, they have a ton of competition and that market cannot sustain them for very long.
I just got back from dress rehearsal. It was everything I wanted this show to be and more. The score is just beautiful, the performances are outstanding, the choreography is beautiful, and I honestly can't think of any other show from this season that has a set as incredible as this. I was so captivated by the whole thing.

glad to hear it -- i have tickets next month to see. let us hope this show can run on that kind of positivity and word of mouth. doubt it but we'll see...
I hope this is good. I love the source material and think it could make a gorgeous musical not unlike the Secret Garden. That being said, I haven't been crazy about anything we've seen so far.
The tree looks gorgeous, but it looks to me in that video like a huge swath of house right is going to have a blocked view for a good chunk of the show.

I sat house left so I can't say from experience but friends who sat on the right today didn't say they had any obstructed views.
