There is a clip of Katherine Hepburn doing a scene & a song (well, it was supposed to be a song) at the 1970 Tony awards on the PBS Broadway's Lost Treasure's II disc- if you haven't already seen it before. It goes for quiiiiiiite a while.

From what I've heard, when all the male swings are on they just leave those seats empty.

re: Spring Awakening Seating Jan 2

The first time I went I sat row A in the mezzanine and they were great seats. It's a really good view and not too far away. There's a bar, but I had no problem with it and I'm incredibly short.

re: Spring Awakening - Ensemble songs / questions Jan 2

There are supposed to be 4 ensemble singers, however that's not always the case when understudies are needed. They sit onstage throughout the entire show and sing whenever there's group singing. The only songs I can remember them standing up for are Totally F***** and The Song of Purple Summer, which I think they also go on stage for (?). I recall them standing at another point but can't remember when. I'm sure someone else will correct me and hopefully give you a bit more information.

I'm not a huge fan of them either to be honest, but mainly because of the celebrity casting that tends to happen. Eg Renee Zellweger in Chicago. Why give someone the role if they can't even sing? It frustrates me to tears.

He was fantastic as Frankie when I saw the show. Admittedly, I haden't seen JLY in the role live before, but Michael's performance completely exceeded my expectations. And they were pretty high expectations. Congratulations to him!

re: spamalot partial view seats Jul 7
2007, 09:22:19 PM
We went a couple of years ago to see the show with partial view seats - we were back row slightly to the left of the rear mezzanine. They were actually really good seats. We could see everything except the very top of the stage, but that only really meant you couldn't see the full length of the screen before intermission. Otherwise, I'd recommend them. They're the cheapest seats in the house too.

In the original play she doesn't consent it. The last line of that scene is from Wendla who protests "O Melchior! Don't, don't"

re: 11 people list Legally Blonde as one of their fave shows Dec 29

I realize that sondhead. However, if you click on the show it comes up with a list of articles that relate to the topic. Call it being lazy but it just makes things a lot more accessible. I don’t mean to bitch or rant but I do not understand why people are so aggressive on the boards. Just because we're all hidden away safely behind a computer doesn't mean anyone has the right to judge and / or be rude to everyone else. If someone wants to add a show to their favorites, then great; the
